The first, and most important relationship, is the one with yourself

Relationship Coaching for Women
One of the most important relationships we have, is without doubt, the one, with ourselves, it is the cornerstone and basis for all relationships we form, learning from our very first relationship cast with our parents, siblings, peers and friends that will help create our very own unique attachment and intimacy style, defining many of our future relationships.
As we mature and journey through life, we may divorce, be widowed or experience a painful break up, all of which can completely change our view on commitment and relationships. Since 2002 I've been helping hundreds of women as owner of Rhodes Harvey Introductions, both as relationship coach and private bespoke matchmaker.
Now, my aim is purely coaching and helping women discover more about themselves, to challenge ingrained romantic perceptions, actions and reactions to why we choose the partners we do, blueprints, and the key importance of emotional intimacy in all relationships. If you're ready to find out how coaching might help you, please get in touch for an informal free chat.

Have You Experienced a Relationship Key Event?
If you have, you are not alone, many women between the ages of 50-60 experience such key events. Losing a partner or husband, either suddenly or after long term care, becoming divorced, or where reaching an age milestone you find yourself financially sound, but still single, feeling you've not achieved the relationship you desire. Or perhaps you just crave some new perspectives that will question familiar patterns, challenge and unlock repeated patterns, discovering your own personal intimacy communication style. Whatever your situation, I’m here to listen and help you arrive at a place that is right for you.
I have a background in relationship psychology, 25 years at senior level in the NHS, a Dip.Couns and Eq-i Diploma where I hope my warm, empathic yet straight forward approach will guide you through the many relationship challenges we all face at times. I will help you learn more about yourself, covering family background, parent and sibling relationships, provide thought provoking questions to stimulate your own romantic perceptions to create new visions for better relationship decision making.
I became a member of the International Association of Coaching and the International Association of Professional Relationship Coaches in 2013. I've worked with BBC radio as a guest dating and relationship expert, written for online dating platforms, including the Meetic Dating platform, featured in the TIMES magazine on modern matchmaking in 2013 and was selected as one of the TOP TEN UK dating and relationship coaches of 2015, and provided research for Dr. Shiona Chillas PhD of St Andrews University in 2012.
I'm passionate about helping women find their own path to love, self-confidence to recognising emotionally unavailable suitors. Dedicated, easy to engage with, but always direct and honest based on my training, skills and expertise. Integrity is paramount in the dating and coaching industry which has suffered much bad press over the years. Trust is key as transparency and open dialogue is. Combining a straight forward approach, with warmth, and passion I hope to set you on a journey that will help you achieve your relationship goals.

Irrespective of how attractive or confident you are, all women over 50 still face dating and relationship challenges men of the same age rarely face. This can be especially true if divorced or widowed"
Reasons Women Choose Relationship Coaching
but is coaching right for you?
For many women coaching can be a way of simply having a listening ear without involving family or friends, which not everyone feels comfortable to do, or has family to do that with. Seeking a new perspective and sharing intimate thoughts and feelings can feel less intrusive with someone you're not connected to.
Coaching can also be very healing if you've been through a painful divorce where you feel your self confidence has taken a knock, or you've been catapulted into a different life overnight, leaving you feeling emotionally drained. And if you've been widowed after a long and happy marriage you may feel, life no longer has the purpose it once did with a void that you have never experienced before. This is a stage that can lead women to try and fill, and move forward at a pace their emotions are still raw and adjusting.
Of course neither of those scenarios may be your situation, you may still be single after dedicating your life to a successful career, or like a lot of women, you seem to select or attract the wrong men as partners, or you self-sabotage relationships by avoidance or anxiety, which can often stem from childhood or a traumatic relationship that was so painful that fear of going through such pain again has become ingrained in your protection mechanisms.
For the single woman over 40 her issues are slightly different to being divorced or widowed, but the one thing that is constant throughout, is the desire to love and be loved in all it's glory, without fear, avoidance or repeating the same mistakes. These are some of the reasons why women choose coaching.

Thank you for all your guidance after my divorce. It seemed daunting at first, but now some sixteen months later I am dating someone through you. Life once more has purpose and certainly a lot more interesting. Not sure where we'll go with this, but thank you for all your hard work and support.
Without you, I may still be single and hoping to meet the right man, or as you would say select wisely. The red flags I've ignored before or didn't see, I now understand boundaries and what I should compromise on and what not to. I only hope that anyone else who finds themselves wrapped up in their career, as I was, will take the steps to change their life. Thank you.
Thank you for all your help over this last year as being widowed so suddenly left me utterly devastated. With your open and warm approach, I was able to share my grief and eventually found a light at the end of the tunnel to at least think about a future and possibly at some stage another relationship.
